Job Summary: |
This position supports the Applied Biology department by cultivating plants that may be used for research and to support the department's laboratory needs.

Essential Duties: |
- Assists in training and monitoring conservatory student assistants. - Works independently with limited direct oversight. - Repots and transplants plants. - Identifies, treats, and documents pest problems as appropriate. - Fertilizes plants and documents fertilization schedule. - Prunes and shapes plants as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: |
1 year of experience in cultivating plants in greenhouse setting or outdoor garden.

Preferred Qualifications: |
- Some experience in pest identification and treatment protocols. - Familiar with plant fertilization methods. - Knowledge of plant cultivation techniques and gardening techniques.
