Job Summary: |
TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is seeking motivated students interested in gaining employment and leadership experience at the Hamilton campus. TRIO SSS Student Ambassadors work directly with TRIO SSS professional staff to support SSS students in our center on the Hamilton campus. Ambassadors perform administrative and clerical duties, support students in the space, and occasionally work across campus for various events and programs.

Essential Duties: |
Assist with SSS office space management which includes: greeting visitors and assisting students with signing in/out of the space; assisting students with technology including computers and printers; answering program-related questions; scheduling appointments and sending appointment reminders, and other clerical duties as needed. Work weekly hours in the SSS center and track interactions with students. Assist staff in recruiting students for the program by planning, implementing, and staffing various events on campus. Assist with the planning and implementation of program-specific events such as monthly hangouts, TRIO orientation, end-of-year banquet, student leadership conference, off-campus events, etc. Keep SSS students informed of upcoming activities and events. Assist SSS students in accessing services and resources at Miami University. Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: |
Currently enrolled Miami student in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications: |
Preference will be given to students in the TRIO SSS program. Preference will be given to students who have completed at least one semester at a Miami Regional campus. Ability to maintain SSS social media accounts including Facebook and Instagram on a regular basis. |
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: |
Students in good standing with a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA. Student Ambassadors should be dedicated to the success of the SSS program and other students. Student Ambassadors must adhere to university and federal confidentiality policies.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: |
Student Ambassadors must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be detail-oriented, and be comfortable presenting to small groups and interacting with diverse populations.
