Job Title:

ITSM Data Integration Intern - Student Master 2 Undergrad

Salary/Grade:

11.50/hr - 13.00/hr

Job Summary:

Aid in the development and maintenance of integrations between applications in our IT Service Management ecosystems. This position will engage in web authoring, python, PHP, proprietary tools for using APIs, and create databases. This will include working in a co-located team in IT Services in order to implement a solution using Agile methodologies. These needs may include specialized skills that are not currently available among our current staff or may be to augment expertise in a particular area.
Training in the integration platform and Agile will be provided as needed based on the skill level.
Maintain a professional environment for fellow employees and clients.
Ability to work unsupervised.

Work performed at this level is done independently of supervision.
Requires the highest level of artistic, technical, or scientific expertise.
Provide supervision to student employees at the Student Master 1 Undergrad level.

For Academic and Administrative Assistance settings, the student must:
Perform complex research activities in the scientific field; students engaged in such activity may be responsible for completion of project assigned with no supervision of administrative staff. They may also serve as a group leader in research activities.

For Technical settings, the student must:
Possess advanced computer knowledge and customer support knowledge in advanced client/server programming, relational databases, Novell, C++, TCP/IP, SQL, JAVA, Visual Basic.
Demonstrate evidence of advanced technical and software skills, leadership, skills in mentoring, training, expert management, and business skills.
Maintain professional environment for fellow employees and clients.
Approve supervisory functions, provide expert leadership, and approve schedules.
Ability to work unsupervised.

Essential Duties: • Work individually or as part of a team to research, analyze, design, develop/modify, and test applications.
• Write SQL, python, PHP and procedural programming scripts as assigned.
• Track progress and provide status reports on assigned projects.
• Develop documentation for designs and/or solutions.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of statistical methods, including statistical process control.
• Experience with coding. Python preferred.
• Experience with statistical analysis using SPSS, SAS or equivalent tools.
• Experience with data visualization toolkits. Tableau Preferred.
• Passion for transforming large amount of data into compelling visual stories to facilitate analysis and decision-making.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
Minimum Qualifications:

A current student with a major or minor in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related.
