Sr. Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:

Serve as human resources content expert and resource to academic units at Miami University and Personnel Technicians within the Office of Academic Personnel Services.

Duties/Physical Demands:

Duties:

• Serve as a human resources content expert and resource to academic units at Miami University and Personnel Technicians within the Office of Academic Personnel Services.
• Support searches by reviewing position descriptions/maintaining position description library, assisting with postings.
• Provide training to administrative support staff in academic units regarding procedures and systems in the academic divisions for salaried employees.
• Document and maintain policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance regarding hours worked for part-time faculty or staff or work location.
• Process and maintain FML requests within the academic divisions.
• Review and advise on annual contracts for academic division salaried employees.
• Assist our customers in the divisions on performance management processes.
• Work with the Graduate Assistants and the Graduate School on processes and procedures for hiring and onboarding Graduate Assistants.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of three (3) years at the Generalist level with experience in more than one (1) Human Resources functionality or seven (7) years of Human Resources experience with at least three (3) years at the Generalist level with experience in more than one (1) Human Resources functionality.

Position not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to candidates with experience with Banner HR and PageUp; command of word processing and spreadsheet programs; familiarity with Miami personnel policies and procedures; experience with training/troubleshooting.
