Job Title: Postdoctoral Fellow
Job Summary:

Postdoctoral Fellow whose duties include organic/polymer synthesis and the characterization of non-equilibrium chemical systems (e.g., chemical kinetics, transient polymer materials).

Duties/Physical Demands:

Duties includes and are not limited to working independently or as part of a team to design, implementing, and disseminating research aligned with the program’s research agenda. Participates in the development and submission of proposals for grants, contracts, or cooperative agreements. Expected to serve as first author on reports and publications.

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD in chemistry, polymer science, or a closely related field. Extensive coursework or training in relevant research methodology. Demonstrated research and evaluation design skills, including ability to design and lead qualitative or quantitative projects. Experience in small-molecule organic or polymer synthesis.

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to a Postdoctoral Fellow whose duties include organic/polymer synthesis and the characterization of non-equilibrium chemical systems (e.g., chemical kinetics, transient polymer materials). Exhibits extensive skill and professional research competence in a broad range of data collection, analysis and project management strategies. Alignment of substantive research interests with programmatic priorities. Ability to integrate findings from research literature and from quantitative or qualitative data analyses to develop comprehensive research and evaluation reports. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills for a variety of audiences. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with colleagues to complete projects by deadlines, often handling multiple projects and deadlines concurrently. Experience in chemical kinetics, polymer characterization, or supramolecular chemistry.
