Catering - Student - Fall 2021- Student Assistant



Job Summary:

Setup of events, including table setting, unloading equipment
Event service, including waiting tables, assisting guests, proactive customer service
Event clean-up, including cleaning tables, removing decorations, sweeping, loading equipment

Commit to a minimum of 6 work hours per week
Provide a high level of customer service with a positive attitude.
Strong sense of teamwork and accountability.
Willingness to learn new duties and grow professionally.

This job will offer many opportunities for interacting with high ranking university personnel. Our customers include the Board of Trustees, Alumni, and even the President’s office!

Scheduling is completed on a weekly basis and is event-driven, providing student staff flexibility in their work schedule.

The hiring process for this position will begin closer to the fall 2020 semester. Applicants may also apply in person at the dining location during regular business hours.

All hired employees must complete an I9 form with Human Resources at Roudebush Hall and present identification such as a birth certificate, social security card, passport, etc. Applicants will be contacted by Student Employment upon hiring with more information about the required identification for I9 forms. Minimum Qualifications:

Work assignments are completed under close supervision.
Procedures are well established.
Employees typically follow well-defined policies and procedures.
Minimal training or prior knowledge of work is required.
