Job Title: Front Reception Desk Student Assistants - Regionals Career Services

$11.30/hr - $12.30/hr

Job Summary:

Seeking Front Reception Desk Student Assistants to support the Career Services & Professional Development offices on the Middletown & Hamilton campuses. Provide excellent front line customer service and support for students, faculty, staff, and community.

Essential Duties:
  • Clerical functions with the ability to operate office equipment
  • Answer incoming calls, greet visitors and students for appointments or walk-ins
  • Work assignments assigned and completed under close supervision
  • Procedures are well established
  • Employees typically follow well-defined policies and procedures
  • Assist professional office staff as needed
  • Other duties as assigned to meet departmental needs
  • Student employees will work under the direction of the Regional Director and Assistant Director of Career Development
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours at Miami University Regionals during the academic year
  • Must have a minimum 2.50 GPA
  • Confidentiality is a must to comply with Federal Privacy laws
  • Basic Microsoft Office computer skill set (i.e. Word, Excel), Google Docs, and willing to learn other software programs
  • Appropriate verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and work from verbal or written instructions
  • Reliable, dependable and creative
  • Must be appropriately dressed to represent a professional work environment
  • Will work around students course schedule, but must have some availability Monday – Friday, between the hours of 10am – 4pm
