Student Worker Other - Hourly


$8.80 - $9.65 per hour

Job Summary:

Student Worker Other positions are designated for positions that qualify for hourly pay but that fall outside the realm of the other specified pay grades for student employment. Prior communication with Student Employment is required before selecting the Student Worker Other positions.

Essential Duties:

Provide front line technical support to FSB including but not limited to classroom AV support, faculty and staff desktop support, troubleshooting printing issues, hardware and software troubleshooting, and fielding walk up technical questions at the Help Desk. Observing standard opening and closing procedures while maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Input detailed description of issues into ticketing system and fulfill or escalate as necessary. Must be able to work on a team as well as individually while providing excellent customer service.

Work assignments are completed under close supervision.
Procedures are well established.
Employees typically follow well-defined policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems

Minimal training or prior knowledge of work is required.
