Job Title: Student Master 1 UG - Upward Bound Summer Program-CT


Job Summary:

For six weeks during the summer (June to July)
The UB CT will work with UB participants from Hamilton High School and promote educational excellence and college attainment.
The program includes academic, cultural, and recreational activities and will take place at Miami Hamilton.
Standard working hours will be Mon-Thurs 8:30am-2:30pm wit occasional extended/weekend hours.

Duties/Physical Demands:

1. Lead small groups including planning and facilitating educational, cultural, and recreational events
2. maintain communication with UB staff regarding students' progress in classes
3. provide tutoring and advisement to individuals and groups of students
4. and promote a community of mutual respect and trust.


Minimum Qualifications:

Upcoming college sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduates (by the beginning of the summer program) with a good academic standing and a desire to work with academically at-risk students.
All student employees must be registered for a minimum of 6 credit hours for the fall semester in order to be employed.
All CT's must be available from May 25th-July 21st.


Desired Qualifications:

Experience leading small groups, tutoring, or working with a wide variety of youth with academic risk factors is desirable.
