Assistant/Associate Professor

Job Summary:

Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track) to teach courses in a new Organizational Leadership major, advise students, conduct research in the applicant’s disciplinary field, and provide service to the university.

The Organizational Leadership major is an interdisciplinary major housed in the College of Arts & Science, and includes courses in areas such as organizational sociology, psychology, political science and public administration, innovation, and strategy.

We seek applicants from a variety of disciplines, including (but not limited to) sociology and political science.  Successful applicants will be expected to teach courses in organizational strategy and innovation, as well as courses in their home discipline.  Research specialty is open.


Teach courses in a new Organizational Leadership major, advise students, conduct research in the applicant’s disciplinary field, and provide service to the university.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D in Sociology, Political Science, Management, or related field prior to start date.  Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident, admitted for residence as an applicant under the 1986 immigration amnesty law, refugee or asylee. 

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to candidates with ability to teach courses on Formal Organizations, Work and Occupations, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and/or Administration; experience with supervising internships and field placements; experience with academic program administration.
