Job Title: Learning Design Student Associate

8.70/hr - 9.80/hr

Job Summary:

eLearning Miami is looking for an undergraduate student to provide assistance to Learning Designers (and Video Production Specialists as needed), graphics and media, and basic support for various eLearning initiatives. A Learning Design Assistant will gain invaluable experience working directly with faculty and staff, assisting in the many tasks related to the effective design and delivery of online and hybrid courses. This is a professionalization opportunity for students seeking internships or post-graduation job prospects.

Work assignments require limited direction and supervision.
Experience or specialized knowledge in the area required.
Ability to provide training or tutorial consultation for employees or students.
Assist faculty in planning or producing instructional materials.
Work directly with management in technical tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program at Miami University.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Apps.
• Ability to take direction and work as a team member.
• Ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate self-motivation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with and/or working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other related applications.
• Experience with video editing software (e.g. Final Cut, Premier).
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript.
• Experience with online and distance learning.
