Job Summary:

The Department of Sociology & Gerontology is currently seeking student employees to work in the main office assisting faculty, staff and students. Good communications skills and a professional, personable attitude are a requirement for qualified applicants. 

Workers should have a see-a-need-fill-a-need attitude and should be able to work independently.

Work assignments are completed under close supervision.
Procedures are well established.
Employees typically follow well-defined policies and procedures.

Currently looking for students with availability Friday late afternoons (1-5pm). Additional availability Tuesdays (2-5pm) and Thursdays (2-5pm). Tuesday and Thursday morning availability would be a bonus.

For summer 22 we are currently seeking students with Friday afternoon availability.
For fall semester, we are particularly seeking students with weekday afternoon availability.

Essential Duties:

Assist faculty and staff with an array of office tasks such as copying, scanning, and filing; greet and help visitors who come to the office; run errands; answer phones ; as well as assorted other tasks such as helping prepare for department events.

Minimum Qualifications:

We are looking for a college student with a see-a-need, fill-a-need attitude; strong communication and customer service skills; an attention to detail; and works independently with minimal instruction.
