Ticket Office Student Assistant


$8.70/hr - $9.65/hr

Job Summary:

The Athletic Ticket Office Student Worker assists the Ticket Office on game day and in the office with day-to-day tasks. They are expected at all times to communicate effectively within the Athletics department, provide a high standard of customer service, adhere to NCAA regulations, and uphold Miami University policy, regulations, and ethical standards. A large portion of what a Student Worker does is ticket sales, will call management, and customer service.

Work assignments are completed under close supervision.
Procedures are well established.
Employees typically follow well-defined policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimal training or prior knowledge of work is required.

Effective communication, patience, small learning curve, composure under pressure, tolerance of ambiguity, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. Must be able to work 100% of Miami home football games and 70% of all other ticketed Miami Athletic events.

Preferred Qualifications:

¨ A high level of Miami Pride
¨ Enthusiasm for Miami Athletics.
¨ Experience handling cash/balancing cash drawers.
¨ Students studying Sports Leadership and Management, Accounting, Management, and other related fields will find this position beneficial in gaining real-world experiences.
