Scene Shop Staff, Theatre Dept. Student Assistant


$8.55/hr - $9.65/hr

Job Summary:

Assist the Theatre Department in building scenery for productions. Maintain facilities and equipment. No experience is necessary.

Work assignments are completed under close supervision.
Procedures are well established.
Employees typically follow well-defined policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

A good attitude and willingness to learn. Availability; 4 hours per week in at least 2-hour blocks when the scene shop is open. (Shop Hours: 10-12pm MWF & 1-5pm M-F)
Able to work by yourself and within a group of diverse people. Maintain a consistent work schedule week to week and notify supervisor in a timely manner when you need a schedule change. Lift 25 pounds.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Experience with hand tools and stationary power equipment. Construction experience. Welding and metal work experience.
