Experiential Education

Experiential education is a teaching philosophy in which educators purposefully engage with learners in direct experience and focused reflection to increase knowledge, develop skills, clarify values, and develop students’s capacity to contribute to their communities.

The Miami Experience goes far beyond classroom learning. Experiential learning is integral to a world-class liberal arts education and fundamental to the MiamiTHRIVE initiative.     Mornings started off with an hour focused on learning tools like CRM systems and Salesforce. These sessions were hands-on and helped us get a feel for how customer info and interactions are tracked in a real finance setting. After that, we had more of a class-style session where experienced employees would walk us through the company’s internal platforms like Xperience and explain how it all ties into the customer experience.
