Experiential Education

Experiential education is a teaching philosophy in which educators purposefully engage with learners in direct experience and focused reflection to increase knowledge, develop skills, clarify values, and develop students’s capacity to contribute to their communities.

The Miami Experience goes far beyond classroom learning. Experiential learning is integral to a world-class liberal arts education and fundamental to the MiamiTHRIVE initiative.
