Assistant Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor

Job Summary:

The Department of Geology and Environmental Earth Science at Miami University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor position on the Oxford campus, beginning August 2020. 

Duties:

Teach undergraduate courses, including foundation courses in physical and environmental geology, as well as intermediate level courses; advise undergraduate students; and provide professional service to the department and university.

Minimum Qualifications:

M.S. in geoscience by date of appointment and documented teaching experience (for appointment as Assistant Lecturer); Ph.D. in geoscience (for appointment as Assistant Teaching Professor).  Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident, admitted for residence as an applicant under the 1986 immigration amnesty law, refugee or asylee. 

Desired Qualifications:

Interest in contributing to supervision of undergraduate student research and field-based experiences.
